‘I’m The Problem’

K. Michelle will be dropping her final R&B album on September 22, 2023, via MNRK Records. The album, titled I’m The Problem, not only marks her final R&B chapter but also introduces her official solo country single, “Tennessee,” paying homage to country music icon Dolly Parton

With 19 tracks, it will be her second-longest album to-date. The album cover features the Tennesse native sitting on a bathroom floor, holding a red cup next to a blurred-out light-blue gun. K. Michelle describes the album as “super emotional” and a means of healing. She stated:

“I’ve been healing through this album. I have dealt with my relationship through this album. I have dealt with my relationship with my son through this album. I have dealt with where I want to go in my future through this album.”

From R&B To Country

The lead single, “Scooch,” topped both the R&B Radio and Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay charts in 2022. In addition to the album announcement, K. Michelle has released a new song titled “Blame Yourself,” which reflects on a woman realizing she is just another girl to a playboy.

This isn’t the “Love ‘Em All” singer’s first foray into Country music, as she has incorporated elements of the genre in her single “Wherever The D May Land.” Under her Country artist name “Puddin,” she has collaborated with Justin Champagne on the song “Country Love Song” and will be featured on a tribute album for The Judds, one of her childhood inspirations.

It’s K. Michelle’s Moment

Alongside her album release, K. Michelle will also be performing on the R&B Music Experience Tour, starting on September 8 in Nashville. With her final R&B album on the horizon, the former Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta star is embracing a new artistic direction while leaving her mark on the R&B music scene.

In 2022, K. Michelle showed the world that she was enhancement-free and proud.  She gave fans a quick peek at what’s beneath her bodice during a sold-out live-streamed performance in Houston, Texas on Feb. 26, alongside friend and past collaborator, Young Jeezy.

Yo Gotti To Retire

In 2022, Yo Gotti announced that he was officially retiring from the rap game after his upcoming album. The rapper took to Instagram to announce the release date of his next album and his retirement as a recording artist.
