Lanez Goes To Court
On Dec. 23, 2022, Lanez was convicted in a jury trial on three felony charges including assault with a semiautomatic handgun, having a loaded and unregistered firearm in a vehicle and gross negligence in discharging his firearm. On August 8, 2023, the Canadian artist was then sentenced for 10 years after being found guilty of shooting Megan Thee Stallion back in July 2020 and planned to appeal the sentence.
The appeal is set to take place on Sept. 5 at the Clara Shortridge Foltz Criminal Justice Center.

In August 2023, Megan Thee Stallion performed at the Outside Lands Festival in San Francisco and addressed her “haters” after Lanez was found guilty of shooting her back in 2020:
