Atlanta rapper Jeezy recently spoke out on the upcoming presidential election and expressed his respect for Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton.

Along with co-signing Clinton, Jeezy dished on controversial Republican candidate Donald Trump.

“Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders, right now to me, are class acts in my book. You got someone like Donald Trump. Whether he wins or loses, Trump is doing this for his brand. You’re sitting back watching someone who should have been out of the race a long time ago based on his actions and everything he does bumps him up in the race because people love it. This is America, we love entertainment. This is no different than his reality show – when I see Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders, I see people that actually care about the people” (CNN)

Last week, Pittsburgh rapper Mac Miller pleaded with Twitter followers not to vote for Trump in the 2016 presidential candidacy.

In a recent interview, rap star Nicki Minaj spoke out on her stance toward Trump.

While she’s quite serious about racial inequality in America, she’s more amused about Donald Trump’s presidential run than afraid. (Note: Minaj spoke to Billboard about Trump prior to his call to ban Muslims from immigrating to the U.S.) “There are points he has made that may not have been so horrible if his approach wasn’t so childish,” explains Minaj. “But in terms of entertainment — I think he’s hilarious. I wish they could just film him running for president. That’s the ultimate reality show.” (Billboard)

Recently, Chicago activist Rhymefest gave SOHH his thoughts on the real estate mogul.

“In terms of Donald Trump, he’s a capitalist. He will do anything and say anything to get the deal done. He doesn’t even believe in the stuff he’s saying. I think Trump and Kanye [West] have more in common than anyone knows.” (SOHH)

  1. I can’t take these rappers seriously! These are the same people talking about a trump who is actually doing the same thing they’re doing. All these rappers make music that spread negativity to their communities but want to give political advice. Please, they need to sit their ass down somewhere because right now they’re looking like hypocrites.

  2. All these rappers grew up in bad environments, so they say. You would honk they’ll have enough intelligence to know that it was democratic policies that created those neighborhoods. Yet they’re telling young people to continue to vote for that bullshit. FOH
