In celebration of Father's Day, SOHH recently hit up mega producer Swizz Beatz to find out how he manages to balance making smash hits and have time for his children.
In addition to saying his kids have taken after their father, the new Creative Director of Reebok, by wearing his signature sneakers, he said family always comes first.
“[Reebok] is the only thing people can wear around here,” Swizz told SOHH. “You can’t come to the studio unless you’re Reebok’d out — We gotta respect the movement around here. [laughs] [Me and my family outings], that’s always. We already do that. We were just doing that in London. We do that all the time. We do that every week. That’s not even something that’s a long, far goal of mine. At least three times a week. It’s not really displayed like that but that’s done like three times a week and even on the weekend. So, that’s a must. That’s an ongoing thing.” (SOHH)
Although no longer married, Beatz and ex-wife Mashonda have come together on multiple occasions to celebrate their son’s birthdays.
Mashonda and Swizz Beats put their differences aside over the weekend and threw a lavish birthday party for their three year old son Kaseem Jr. Kaseem was a sharp little heartbreaker, decked out in a John Galliano Boys Grey Pinstripe Blazer (retail $310) and some Louis Vuitton sneakers. Such a beautiful family! And Mashonda’s glowing. It seems as though she’s found a special someone as well. (Necole Bitchie)
Last month, Beatz traveled to London to celebrate his daughter’s birthday.
Swizz Beatz made a trip to London to celebrate his daughter Nicole’s 3rd birthday this weekend. Nicole is his daughter with a British singer Jahna. And he wanted his sons (sans Egypt Dean) to kick it with their half-sister. He made it a happy occasion with his oldest son Nasir and his son with Mashonda, Kaseem. And they all traveled to London to have a birthday bash for cutie pie Nicole. (The YBF)
In October 2010, Beatz and wife/singer Alicia Keys were spotted with their son, Egypt.
She gave birth just five days ago but Alicia Keys looked happy and glowing as she took her new born son out for the first time yesterday. The 29-year-old singer and her husband, rapper Swizz Beatz, took their new addition Egypt Raoud Dean, born on October 14 out in New York. The happy couple looked relaxed as Swizz carried Egypt in a baby carrier into a building while Alicia walked alongside him. Later in the day they left their little one at home for some romantic alone time together. The new parents strolled arm in arm through a craft market near to their home and browsed baby clothes as well as spices and other food items. (Daily Mail)
