Atlanta rapper Yung Mazi is reportedly recovering following a near-death shooting at a local Waffle House. Reports claim Mazi narrowly dodged fatal gunfire in Georgia.
According to reports, the headline-generating attack went down Tuesday (December 26) at the popular breakfast restaurant.
Police are investigating after the artist, named Yung Mazi, was shot at the restaurant about 4 a.m., according to WSB-TV. The eatery is located in the 3000 block of Piedmont Road. The rapper walked into the eatery and was shot by a man who was with a group already inside the restaurant, the TV station said. The rapper was reportedly shot in the arm and taken to Piedmont Hospital. (Atlanta Patch)
In a since-deleted Twitter post, YM credited a higher power for keeping him alive.

Last summer, Mazi talked about previously getting shot up multiple times.
“I’m a real dude. Some people don’t like real dudes. That’s cool. I’m not hatin’. I’m not made,” the rapper said in a YouTube video on June 30, explaining why he keeps getting shot. The “Free My Bruddas 2” rapper also attributes many shootings to the expensive jewelry he wears. (11 Alive)
