Rich Gang’s Young Thug is showing off his humorous side by poking fun at his image on social media this week.
Thugger revealed a playful New Year’s Resolution on Twitter this weekend.
Although brief with his praises, music icon Elton John recently applauded Thugger’s music-making.
“I love that record! I actually asked [Universal Music CEO] David Joseph about it. I heard a track on Beats 1 and I loved it so much. But he’s got himself into trouble, hasn’t he?,” John said in an interview. “I love all of that, it’s unexpected. I remember when Blind Faith came out, with a nude girl and John & Yoko, you had to buy it in a black plastic bag. And you should be able to do things like that but we don’t live in that kind of world anymore.” (Noisey)
Earlier this fall, Young Thug dismissed the idea of his appearance and criticism having a negative impact on him.
“I like everything that people say,” he insists. “No matter what they say. You gay, you a punk. You got a nice girlfriend, you’re ugly, you can’t rap, you’re the hardest.” Is it important that hip-hop has looks other than the hyper-masculine stereotype? His manager jumps in: “That’s why you like him in Europe. That’s how you dress. If he was some masculine guy, I’m not saying they wouldn’t like him, but he’s more relatable. To people who just like old hip-hop.” (The Guardian)
The story of Young Thug not as much about sexual orientation as it is about mental retardation. With an IQ of between 65 and 70, he is not by legal or moral definition mentally competent to manage his affairs.
He thinks that’s going to erase his past suspect moves or some shit??
