Atlanta rapper Young Thug is only making his status with Rich Gang stand out even more after teaming up with Young Money’s Tyga for their new “Hookah” collaboration.

The unexpected joint effort premiered online early Monday (March 17).

Tyga has released his newest song, “Hookah,” and it’s a collaboration with Young Thug. Thug starts the song off with the first verse, and sticks around for the chorus, while Tyga convinces a lady friend to smoke with him on the second and third verses. (Complex)

Over the weekend, Thugga dished out his respect for YMCMB leader Lil Wayne and explained how much he molded his style.

“Wayne, Wayne and Wayne. The fact that the n*gga got 100 M’s and he still rap everyday, it’s amazing,” Thug said in an interview. “Rich Gang to the death. Big shout out to [Gucci Mane]. He was a big help to my career. But, I’m with Rich Gang and that’s how we gone turn it up… [Cash Money’s Baby] is like a real father figure.” (The FADER)

Tyga recently revealed rap star Kanye West‘s full-fledged involvement on his upcoming solo album.

“Kanye executive producing that, so it’s gonna be a crazy album,” Tyga said in an interview. “It’s just good to have people like him [and] Wayne. They’re all these people I grew up on. To really be mentored by the greats, it just puts you in that running.” (“Big Boy’s Neighborhood”)

While details were initially scarce, the Young Money stud informed the world of what’s stirring up with him and Kanye via Instagram earlier this winter.

Are you ready for a T-Raww and Yeezus collaboration? Fresh off the release of his mixtape Well Done 4, Tyga hit the studio with none other than Kanye West. The Cash Money rapper took to Instagram to share a photo of him working with the G.O.O.D. Music mastermind. “Raww x Yeezus,” tweeted Tyga. Details of their collaboration are scarce, but Tyga is readying his new album The Gold Album: 18th Dynasty, which has already spawned the Justin Bieber-assisted single “Wait for a Minute.” (Rap-Up)
