I made the “Half The Time” music video a year ago. Me and Pusha [T] were down in Florida and I went to his hotel room and played it and he loved it. At the end of the day, you gotta understand, I haven’t been rapping for very long.

I still don’t know when people say to do a 12 or 16, I really don’t know, all I do is rap. My flow is very unorthodox. I just go for what I know. I don’t try to be like everybody else.

This was my first polished record. I made it basically a year from today and I held onto it. Now all of my music sounds like that. It’s all about good content.

The idea was to put it together. I knew it was a good record and it would be a hit. Rap costs real money. People go to jail trying to be rappers. They go to jail trying to pay for rap. They’re taking all types of risks.

Therefore every rapper can relate to half the time I rap and half the time I trap.

I linked up with Young Dolph because at the end of the day he’s on the come-up and I’m on the come-up. I could have got Jeezy or Yo Gotti, but I wanted to make it organic and get someone that people could really touch. Dolph is doing his thing.
