Chicago rapper Young Chop has issued some less than friendly words toward G.O.O.D. Music head Kanye West this week.

In a series of Instagram videos, Chopper expressed his issues with artists like Yeezy using Chi-Town musicians for their own personal gain.

“The n*gga Kanye don’t make it no better. He right along with the sh*ts. Use you, try to soak you, soak up everything n*ggas know, get you to write songs for the him, and then don’t call you after that. F*ck him! Say for instance, like, ‘Don’t Like,’ and my boy Vic Mensa. He gon’ make it seem like he put them on. And he really f*cking didn’t. N*ggas started from the bottom. Them n*ggas don’t like me, you wanna know why they don’t like me, ’cause I’m a f*cking boss. I do what the f*ck I want. I don’t d*ck ride them n*ggas, at all. I never did. F*ck them, n*gga. I’m king.” (Instagram)

Recently, Kanye’s celebrity wife Kim Kardashian West talked about his potential run for the presidency.

“I believe he is serious and I know if he puts his mind to something he’ll do his best… it’s been fascinating just hearing all of the conversations that have gone on since that announcement,” Kim said. “I don’t know if that was planned and I just didn’t know about it or if he came up with that idea right then and there.” (“Ellen”)

Last month, Republican candidate Ben Carson spoke on Kanye’s intent to run for president.

“I did have an opportunity to talk with him. I was extremely impressed with his business acumen. He knows a lot about business. I talked to him about the possibility of maybe himself and some of the other people in pop culture doing some music that might be uplifting that might give young women a sense of their value and young men a sense of responsibility. I think it could be a tremendous thing in our society.” (“This Week”)

In a new Vanity Fair interview, Kanye talked about announcing his candidacy in the 2020 presidential election at this year’s MTV Video Music Awards.

“And then as soon as I said that, it was like, “Wait a second, we would really be into that, because actually if you think about it, he’s extremely thoughtful. Every time he’s ever gotten in trouble, he was really jumping in front of a bullet for someone else. He’s probably the most honest celebrity that we have.” I didn’t approach that because I thought it would be fun. It wasn’t like, Oh, let’s go rent some jet skis in Hawaii. No, the exact opposite. I sit in clubs and I’m like, Wow, I’ve got five years before I go and run for office and I’ve got a lot of research to do, I’ve got a lot of growing up to do. My dad has two masters degrees. My mom has a PhD, she used to work at Operation PUSH. Somehow the more and more creative I get, the closer and closer I get to who I was as a child. When I was a child, I was holding my mom’s hand at Operation PUSH. I think it’s time. Rap is great.” (Vanity Fair)

  1. On the real, When I heard that Travis Scott “Antidote”, I almost thought it was Kanye….. I’m Sure Chop has a point, that’s how a lot of these artists that made it big do!!

  2. Yoooo the wild part is that I was JUST thinking about this yesterday while I was listening to Travis Scott album. There’s folks that actually think that Kanye just came up with that weird style from Yeezus on his own, that was Travis for the most part (he just wasn’t known too well back then). A bunch of these big name artists do this because it’s convenient at the time.

  3. Ask Kanye about D-Dot. Ask Scott Storch (and a whole bunch of others lol) about Dr. Dre. Ask Danja Handz about Timbaland. I understand why these dudes be frustrated but Chop needs to understand that Kanye is in an entirely different world right now. & It’s a part of the game; once you get the juice, it’s on YOU to run with it; and Kanye definitely gave y’all boys some shine already.
