The absence of 50 Cent's prodigy Lloyd Banks has turned into such a popular topic these days, even former G-Unit member Young Buck is questioning his whereabouts.

Reviewing his ex-boss’ new Gangsta Grillz: The Lost Tape mixtape, Buck took note of the “Punchline King’s” absence from the project in a new video.

In a video that was posted on YouTube on Tuesday (May 29), Buck is seen bopping his head and smoking to 50’s “Murder One” off his recently-released, DJ Drama-backed mixtape, The Lost Tape. “Where Banks at? Which one is Banks on? Nowhere?” Buck asks in the beginning of the clip, perhaps sarcastically after 50 recently shared that he hasn’t spoke to Banks in nine months. From there, though, Buck seems to enjoy the sound of ‘Fif’s “Murder One” track, even complimenting 50’s artist, Kidd Kidd. After listening to 50, Buck begins to groove, listening to a track of his own. (XXL Mag)

This week, 50 came clean on his distanced relationship with Banks.

“He goes through these things where there’s no communication and he goes off and does what he wants, it’s set at that point because I’ve spent marketing dollars so he can go wherever he wants to go and actually go do shows, make money and do other things,” 50 told radio host Big Boy. “At that point, it’s fine for him to move around and go do it by himself. I want them to be individuals and operate on their own away from me, I’m fine with it. … We can get on the phone together, but I haven’t spoken to him. I haven’t spoken to Banks in nine months. But this is not the first time this has happened. He’s a baby. He’s the youngest in the actual G-Unit, he got really rich at 19. Both him and Tony [Yayo] have made over nine million dollars. With [Young] Buck, it was almost eight million dollars.” (Power 106)

Earlier this month, the G-Unit general delved into Banks needing to develop more on his own.

Fif also talked Lloyd Banks. There’s been rumors of Banks having tension with the rest of G-Unit, but 50 says he’s allowing Banks to “develop” on his own. After putting so much energy into Banks’ career, he now wants to focus on his own music. “There’s a point when artists need to develop themselves and their things on their own. He’s reached that point,” 50 explained. “You work for me but I’m working for you? That’s the concept that’s been going on their entire career… I gotta focus on me too.” (Baller Status)

Although Buck is no longer with 50’s team, he recently said his Unit issues are a thing of the past.

“It’s been a long time since I’ve had any kind of conversation with [Lloyd] Banks, [Tony] Yayo, 50 [Cent], anybody really through that camp over that way,” Buck told DJ Whoo Kid in an interview. “It’s been even a long time since I heard your voice to even have a conversation and we having it on air, live for the people. … At the end of the day, we’ve made history and I would never not consider not being a chance for us to make history again if ever given the opportunity or chance. My thing is, at the end of the day, we only get older out here in this situation, in life, in itself and the older I became, the wiser I became at the same time.” (Shade 45)
