G-Unit boss 50 Cent may still be sending subliminal shots toward the Maybach Music Group camp by linking up with ex-drug kingpin Freeway Ricky Ross this weekend.
50 posted up a pic alongside rap star Rick Ross‘ rival on Instagram Sunday (January 24).
In winter 2014, Freeway issued a statement and said Rick Ross should do his homework before labeling him a snitch.
“Do your research. You can look up my public record. As I said in the prior video, I hope we can come together make to a change for the better for Black America.” (Statement)
In an interview on New York radio station’s “The Breakfast Club” days prior, Ross flatly admitted he had no interest in working with Freeway.
“Nah, ain’t nothing to come together about. He do him. Ain’t nothing [to mend]. Bang! That’s what busters do. Everybody do that,” Ross said in the interview. “Yeah, yeah, yeah, throw your lawsuit on the grass and leave it there. At the end of the day, what else could it be? If you was who you said you was, you would have got out and we could have talked about that. We could have done that off the rip, we talk about a lot of books – it don’t mention the 40 people he testifed on and sent them to life. I don’t hear nothing. … You testified. You told. Yeah, yeah, yeah, they play the ‘g’ role but you know, 3-0-5, M-I-yayo – you see these types of things and keep on moving.” (“The Breakfast Club”)
Earlier the same year, Freeway revealed he would suit back up and take his legal beef against Ross to the nation’s highest court.
“Absolutely! We are headed to the Supreme Court right now! I was so thrilled with my lawyers when they called me. They are fighting Universal and Warner Bros. which are two of the biggest corporations in the country,” Freeway revealed in an interview. “When we went to court they had about 15 lawyers and I had 1 lawyer. Universal and Warner Bros are standing behind this guy 100, and my lawyer called me and told me “What you think?” I was like “I want to fight on” and she said “I do too!” (“Murder Master Music Show”)
