West Coast rapper YG has stepped up to speak out on reuniting with one-time music rival DJ Mustard this weekend.
YG alerted fans he is back on good terms with Mustard after chopping it up with him at this weekend’s Coachella music festival in California.
Last summer, YG denied speculation of possibly having any lasting issues with Mustard following a publicized dispute a few months prior.
“Beefing again [Laughs],” YG joking replied when asked if he was beefing with Mustard again or if they were working together on the new album. “No, we straight. He got a joint on the new album I think. I’m still figuring it all out.” (Billboard)
Brief with his words, Mustard assured concerned supporters YG would pull through injuries after being shot last June.
Back in January 2015, YG downplayed his short-lived dispute with Mustard.
“Me and that homie, we fought and we got it over with and we homies,” YG said about ending his feud with Mustard. “This ain’t the first time. Mustard did his thing and I did my thing. … This is not the first time we did this. We fight all the time.” (Hot 97)
