West Coast rapper YG wants the world to know he had zip-zero to do with Colin Kaepernick getting his name censored in the new Madden 19. The hip-hop star has stepped forward to speak up on the headline-generating controversy.
The Bompton rapper went to Instagram last night (August 2) to clarify any speculation about having something to do with Kaep’s name getting taken off the game’s “Big Bank” song.
“I want my home Colin Kaepernick to know that I ain’t have nothing to do with that Madden sh*t. I ain’t approve that, Big Sean ain’t approve that, Nicki Minaj ain’t approve that, motherf*cking 2 Chainz ain’t approve that. We ain’t got nothing to do with that. I support you. I’ve been supporting you. EA Sports, NFL, whoever, y’all owe me, Big Sean, 2 Chainz and Nicki Minaj and the homie Kaepernick an apology. That’s what it is. 400. I’ll be looking for an apology soon.”
Need that apology @nfl @ea ASAP. 📸 @yg pic.twitter.com/bDXXaOMuxV

Kaepernick has since hopped on Instagram to salute YG for keeping things 400.
Last night, G.O.O.D. Music’s Big Sean reacted to learning his CK reference didn’t make it into Madden 19.
It’s disappointing and appalling @NFL & @EA took @Kaepernick7’s name out of my verse on Big Bank for Madden 19, like it was a curse word. When he's not a curse, he's a gift! Nobody from my team approved any of this.

A few hours prior, a video went viral revealing early Madden 19 releases didn’t have Sean’s “Big Bank” Kaepernick line.
The game doesn’t officially drop until next week, but people who have gotten their hands on an early copy have noticed Kaep’s name was scrubbed from Sean’s verse on YG’s song “Big Bank” featuring 2 Chainz and Nicki Minaj. What you’re supposed to hear is “Feed me to the wolves now I lead the pack and sh*t. You boys all cap, I’m more Colin Kaepernick” … but aside from the obvious edits to keep the lyrics rated PG, the game also took the Kaep shout-out off the track. (TMZ)
bad enough @Kaepernick7 still not signed, but now they even edit his name out in this year’s @EAMaddenNFL during @BigSean verse, smh pic.twitter.com/3nvkB26z5r
