Wu-Tang Clan affiliate Marques “Andre Roxx” Johnson is reportedly seeking legal action against various news publications for mistakenly citing him in a gruesome genital-removing 2014 story.

According to reports, Marques filed a defamation lawsuit in Delaware federal court Wednesday (March 23).

The complaint reads, “Other than their affiliation with the (group) Killa Beez and the Wu Tang Clan, and the fact that they are both African-American male musicians, there are and were key differences between Plaintiff and Christ Bearer. Their names, though containing the overlapping (and common) names ‘Andre’ and ‘Johnson,’ are not the same. Christ Bearer’s given name is Andre Johnson; Plaintiff’s is Marques Johnson. The two did not bear a physical resemblance at the time of the incident.” (Contact Music)

Despite being under the influence of drugs, the real victim Andre “Christ Bearer” Johnson previously said he was aware of the decision he made in April 2014.

“Yes, I was using drugs that night, but I was in complete control,” said the rapper, who also goes by the name of Christ Bearer. “I cut it off because that was the root of all my problems. My solution to the problem was the realization that sex is for mortals, and I am a god…Those kinds of activities got me into trouble, and I came here to be a god.” (E! Online)

The rap veteran also explained the impact his manhood-slicing move had on his bedroom activities.

There were media reports claiming that doctors were able to reattach the Johnson’s penis, but he said that isn’t the case. “Doctor’s weren’t able to repair anything,” he told E! News. “But, it still gets hard, the little bit that I got. I still got some penis that works.” “It’s not the size of the prize, it’s the motion of the ocean,” he added. “There’s no mystery to it, but they couldn’t reattach it. A penis is a penis is a penis.” “I wasn’t having that much sex up to that point anyways,” added Johnson. “My days of reproducing are over. But now I’m a reborn man.” (E! Online)

Although not fully familiar with the situation, Wu-Tang head RZA previously said he felt mental issues may have contributed to the rapper’s actions.

“I feel sad for his family first and foremost; I know he has children,” RZA said. “I thought he was a smarter guy than a guy who would do something crazy like that. But at the same time, he been in jail recently, he’s been in trouble. Maybe he’s mentally unstable. Maybe the mental health system should have took a look at him and said, ‘You know what? We got to hold on to this guy for a little longer.'” (XXL Mag)
