With Saigon's Greatest Story Never Told finally just days away from its release date, the "Yard Father" told SOHH why his close friend and executive producer Just Blaze deserves more shine than he's previously received.

In Sai’s eyes, his new Greatest Story Never Told will cement Blaze’s place amongst hitmakers like Timbaland and Swizz Beatz.

“Wait until the people hear my sh*t,” Sai told SOHH referring to Greatest Story Never Told. “I don’t give a f*ck about hype. Hype’s not real. You know what’s real? F*cking product. Product is real…Do you know what this is going to do? It’s gonna put Just Blaze on that Swizz Beatz, Timbaland level. It ain’t even gonna be about me, it’s gonna be about him. Because musically and sonically, he embodies me. You’re gonna love it because of the way it sounds. My rhymes are on point but what he did is going to make this sh*t stand outside of anything else. I ain’t even gonna front.” (SOHH)

The “Yard Father” also feels Blaze is responsible for fueling a few artists’ careers.

“Let me tell you something about Just Blaze,” Sai added. “Without Just Blaze, a lot of n*ggas [wouldn’t] have careers. He’s so humble about it and I talked to him and he just laughed it off. He’s just so modest. I tell him, ‘You understand you did this, this, that, this and that?’ Even now, [Eminem and Lil Wayne‘s] ‘No Love,’ they performed all those songs on ‘Saturday Night Live’ and they’re doing a Just Blaze record. They went back and did their own things collectively, but they did Just Blaze’s record.” (SOHH)

Last November, Sai rated Blaze over hitmaker Kanye West.

“I’m not even being biased–100 percent honest–I would have to say Just Blaze is a better producer than Kanye West. Just is more versatile. Kanye West shines when he does those soulful-type music–“You Don’t Know My Name,” “All Falls Down.” But I think Just Blaze masters that. He can do that, then he can do a song like “PSA,” “Can’t Let You Go” by Fabolous, and it sounds totally different. He’s doing real pop-eclectic stuff [now] and it sounds incredible. They’re both super-great, but the only producer I’d compare to Just is Timbaland. That’s the only producer with that versatility.” (VIBE)

Following the co-sign, SOHH hit up Just to get his reaction.

“I don’t really have too much of a comment on that,” Blaze modestly told SOHH about Sai’s co-sign. “I appreciate it and like I said online the other night, I’m not really into the ratings and comparisons. We all make good music and if I’m anybody’s favorite, I’m just honored to be their favorite. Beyond that, we’ve all got different things and we all do them well, so, I’m just happy and honored to be considered among other great names of those who I consider to be great.” (SOHH)

Greatest Story Never Told is set to drop Tuesday, February 15th.
