I try to just keep it organic. A lot of people think too much about what they want to say. I just want to keep it visceral and natural.

Everything that I write about is real and in my life or it’s going to be real. I try to keep it real ‘us’ so it’s not something I really sit there and think of. It’s more about what comes to me.

“Private Room” is just what comes to me and me living my life. That’s the type of thing I wanted to hear. If I’m going out and I’m in Miami and wanna get right, I want to hear that.

So I was like, “Let me make something like that. We’re in such difficult times, let me just make something that’s a little more enjoyable.
