[With the release of his Hood Environment label’s debut, “NRG,” still buzzing, Ruff Ryders alumni Drag-On talks to SOHH about the status of his revamped record company.]

“NRG” is actually the first single from [my label] Hood Environment. The label’s still in effect.

I’m going to be honest. I’m new to wearing this CEO cap. So I made a lot of mistakes, a lot of mistakes with Hood Environment when I first started up.

That’s the way I had to learn because I didn’t have no other help from any other label. I had to do that sh*t myself. So I had to stumble a few times, drop the ball and pick it back up and run a few times to just learn how to really do this.

It’s a whole new day, it’s a whole new demographic. That’s why I stay in the studio. Those that are my diehard fans, they know I stay in the studio.

I’m always working in the studio, putting out songs on [digital service] AudioMack. If you want to hear a little bit more songs by me, you can go to AudioMack.com and just type in ‘Drag-On.’ I got about four or five songs on there.

I’m giving them my new catalog. We’re just working right now. Everything is really just focused on me. That’s the main artist on Hood Environment.

Although I have other artists, that’s all in the works. We just want to get this sh*t shaking, get it off the ground. Crazy shout-out out the Ruff Ryders.
