I think it’s good for us to come together. Don’t just use this as a platform to promote your talent or what you got going on. Be wholeheartedly into it. Just stay focused and just let the people know you’re serious about what you’re doing and you not just doing it because everybody’s doing it because they got a lot of followers out there.

I just say be a leader and do your part.

I’m going around and everywhere I go, I interact with the people. If somebody wants to take a picture with me, for example, I just came from Baltimore, there was a lot of kids and we did the video shoot in the projects. I told them we gotta take some photos for the people out in Ferguson and asked them to put their hands up.

I haven’t been there to Ferguson yet but I’m there in spirit and I’m going to make my way there when it’s the best time for me to be there. Everybody’s just gotta do their part.

I have a dedication video that I put together. I’m probably going to shoot two videos to it. It’s like justice for Mike Brown worldwide. I’m going to do a remix and it’s open to anybody. It’s going to be an extended version [of ‘Hands Up.’]

We’re gonna keep on extending it and shedding light on what’s going on. It’s not just about Mike Brown’s case but what’s going on everywhere in the world.

I want to show the headlines of what’s going on in the news and the movement with me being out in the streets. I want to show everyone getting down with the movement around the world. A lot of people don’t watch the news. They read books or do other things to get their information.

Sometimes you gotta do a video to get a person’s attention. They’re not just going to listen to the audio. The audio says a lot but you have to put out visuals with some type of audio. Any way we can get the message to the people, I stand for what’s right.

We need to do something about this corruption in the world and stand up to it.
