Brooklyn rapper Bobby Shmurda recently discussed his seemingly overnight rise to stardom and how he has plenty to offer in the near future. #bigthingsdropping

In the 20-year-old rapper’s perspective, he will be in the rap game for an extended run.

“Where I’m from they don’t usually get chances like this, ya know. I just started and it got crazy. I’m just beginning, this is just the beginning,” Bobby said in an interview. “[Big collaborations?] I didn’t really know this could happen. I’ma give them what they want. I was just being myself on it. If being myself got that, Ima do it all day.” (Revolt TV)

Epic Records executive Sha Money XL revealed Shmurda’s addition to the family early Friday (July 18).

“Deal is done bobby_shmurda #EPIC no one does the underdogs better then me. Brooklyn this 1 is for you!,” Sha tweeted July 18.

Bobby appeared to hint at the deal with a post on his social media.

Over the past few weeks, Shmurda’s received recognition from a slew of music stars.

Bobby has built an impressive Internet buzz that translated to real life stamps from the likes of Beyoncé (who smoney danced on stage at the MetLife); Jay Z (who gave him a lyrical shout out in concert); and Raekwon, Meek Mill, and Fabolous who have all brought him out at various shows. (BET)
