“The Houston Lyricist”

If there is one thing about Houston, they know a little about female rap artistry. H-Town’s KenTheMan is “Rap’s Best Friend,” using her southern charm to relate to her fans and keeping her name in the game with the first single to her debut album.

The album’s name hasn’t been announced yet, but the Houston lyricist has gained co-signs from notable names in the industry, including Snoop Dogg and 2 Chainz

Another name may have inspired the first track of her debut album, Ken’s Single “Not My N*gga,” set to be released on October 14, samples the classic Trina hit, “Da Baddest B*tch.”

The up-and-coming rapper changed the course of her career after making a diss track about a cheating boyfriend.

Before that, she took over SoundCloud, creating freestyles that led her to become part of the first Soundcloud Class of 2022.

Now, with hit singles and over 55 million all-time streams, she is one of the three women in the 2022 XXL Freshman Class

In addition, she continues to gain more traction in the industry, where her music has been featured in popular TV shows such as P-Valley and Rap Sh*t.

Ken also had a past label partnership with Asylum Worldwide, who released her “What’s My Name” Mixtape a year ago.

With a highly-anticipated debut album, it could be what she needs to elevate more in the music industry.
