The holiday of 4/20, celebrated by stoners worldwide, features concerts and festivals in the hip-hop scene. SOHH highlights what's happening in hip-hop on this world-famous holiday.
On 4/20, rappers nationwide will celebrate the holiday by smoking and performing. One event is a special 4/20 edition of Wild N’ Out featuring New York rap duo Girll Codee. The episode will also feature a watch party, which was announced by Girll Code member Hiii Siddity.
Many other events around the country will include some of the biggest names in rap.
Wiz, Snoop, Rick Ross & More Celebrate 4/20
Wiz Khalifa will headline the Smokey River 4/20 Fest, as part of his Good Trip Tour in East Independence, Mo. The “Black and Yellow” rapper will also have special cannabis-infused pre-rolls available at the event. Other rappers that will take the stage include Joey Bada$$, Chevy Woods, Smoke DZA, and Berner, who is the CEO of the cannabis company Cookies.
West Coast legend and notable stoner Snoop Dogg, who will join Wiz Khalifa on tour this summer, released a new song appreciating cannabis with pop singer Bebe Rexha called “Satellite” on 4/20.
Rick Ross, who just relaunched his cannabis strain, “Collins Ave,” will headline the Mile High 4/20 Fest along with Waka Flocka Flame in Denver, according to the Denver Post. Other artists that will also be performing will include Fivio Foreign, Kaash Paige, and star producer The Alchemist.
The event will be hosted by legendary stoner actor Tommy Chong.
Rap legend Ice Cube along with iconic rap group, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony will co-headline the 420 West Fest in Rio Rancho, NM. Acts that will join them will include Warren G, DJ Quik, Suga Free, and others. In addition, several rappers have also tapped into the cannabis industry such as Chicago rapper Vic Mensa who started his cannabis brand, 93 Boyz in August 2022.
Other artists such as T.I., Moneybagg Yo, Soulja Boy, and Lil Durk all have partnerships with tobacco brand Cignature and have their own flavored hemp wraps. Customers can use the hemp wraps for cannabis use.

Rap Mogul Diddy made a business deal that can make him the owner of the largest Black-owned cannabis company in the world.
Diddy made a purchase through Cresco Labs in November 2022 that included three licensed medical operations in New York, Massachusetts, and Illinois.
