According to reports, Shmurda will have to remain in jail until his next hearing in April.

A $2 million bail package application posted Friday on behalf of the 20-year-old Brooklyn rapper, who is facing an array of gang conspiracy charges, was pulled on Wednesday, the office of the special narcotics prosecutor for New York City said. “It’s our understanding that the suretor has withdrawn and that no hearing is currently scheduled,” said Kati Cornell, a spokeswoman for the office. Recent reports claimed Shmurda’s bail would be reviewed by the city.

Bobby Shmurda, the spark-plug Brooklyn rapper, has posted $2 million bail after spending more than six weeks in jail on gun and drug charges related to allegations of a gang conspiracy, his attorney said on Friday. The city will now have up to 72 hours to review the bail package, which was arranged with the help of Ira Judelson, a bail bondsman known for his high-profile clients, including the rappers Ja Rule and DMX. Celebrity bondsman Ira Judelson, who is known for helping celebrities like Ja Rule post bail, said he could have the necessary bond in the coming days last week.

“At the end of the day, I’m their bank. I’m the one who is going to be putting up the money to secure their appearance in court,” Judelson told Bossip after attending a hearing for Shmurda and his GS9 co-defendants at Manhattan Supreme Court Thursday. “Bobby is relying on me to put up the $2 million to get him out the door, get him back to his family and get his music career back on track.” (Bossip)

Shmurda did not cut any deals when he appeared in court last week.

Bobby Shmurda has pled not guilty to all charges today in his first hearing since being arrested Dec. 17. The 20-year-old Brooklyn MC had been indicted along with Rowdy Rebel and 13 members of their GS9 crew on 69 charges ranging from drug distribution to conspiracy to commit murder. All pled not guilty in Manhattan Supreme Court in hearings today that lasted three and a half hours. The next court date for the crew has been set for April 22. (XXL Mag)

Last month, Shmurda’s lawyer Howard Greenberg revealed his Brooklyn gun charge would vanish into thin air soon.

“Brooklyn D.A. office announced that the gun case in Brooklyn will be dismissed in about two weeks,” Greenberg confirmed. That Brooklyn case, according to court papers, alleged that Bobby fired a gun toward a crowd of people outside a barber shop. There was also another incident in which he was charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon and Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia after police seized two loaded firearms and narcotics paraphernalia inside a Brooklyn residence.” (Revolt TV)
