Talk show personality Wendy Williams has reportedly weighed-in on the publicized romance between Young Money’s Drake and tennis star Serena Williams.
In a new September Life & Style piece, Williams acknowledged the romance and warned Serena.
“”Rapper Drake and tennis champ Serena Williams have been packing on the PDA in public, but I’m worried Serena is choosing the wrong guy. Drake is younger than she is [he’s 28, she’s 33] and a bit of a ladies man. If I were her, I’d consider Drake a snack instead of the main course. Move on before you get hurt, girl!” (Inquisitr)
Despite a past fling, rapper Common recently said he fully supported Williams and called her a friend.
“I mean, Serena’s a friend. As long as she’s happy, I’m good. Like, you know, that’s my friend. We dated and that’s done. It’s been done a long time ago. We’re friends. She’s doing super good on the tennis and she’s incredible. As long as she’s happy, I’m good.” (TMZ)
According to reports, Williams is giving Drizzy another shot at winning her over.
We’re told Serena’s willing to give him another chance because they have a “good vibe” — which was on full display in the pics TMZ posted of their dinner in Cincinnati. Still, friends are warning her to be careful she doesn’t get hurt again. Our Drake sources say it’s different this time — he treats her with more respect than his other dates because Serena’s a superstar in her own right. On Thursday, when Williams beat Maria Sharapova in the semifinals, Drake was at Centre Court. Then he showed up at Williams’ news conference, too. So a reporter asked Williams whether Drake might be a “lucky mascot.” Williams rolled her eyes.
