The revamped hit surfaced online Labor Day (September 1) following handfuls of remixes.

There’s no denying the original “No Flex Zone” is a problem, which is why several artists like Busta Rhymes, Lil Kim and Juicy J have already remixed their own versions of the hit single. Rae Sremmurd supplied an additional verse to the song, while Nicki Minaj and Pusha T’s previously remixed renditions of the track were added to the mix. (XXL Mag)

Brooklyn rap veteran Lil’ Kim remixed the summer anthem last week.

They know better. Following her remixes to Beyoncé’s “Flawless” and Bobby Shmurda‘s “Hot Ni**a,” Lil’ Kim comes with a remix to Rae Sremmurd’s “No Flex Zone.” Over the Mike WiLL-Made It-produced anthem, Kimmy Blanco boasts about being a trendsetter and killing the competition. “I don’t set trip, I set trends / Pull up in a 2020 Benz,” she spits. Recently, Minaj revealed YMCMB label mate Drake applauded her decision to introduce new topics on her upcoming The Pink Print album.

“So sonically I think the album sounds so amazing. And there are so many surprises on the album. I had Drake come by the studio the other day and he was like “Omg, you’re talking about new stuff, I’m so proud of you.” And that’s what I’m most excited about. I’m speaking about new things on this album. I’m excited I’m not allowing anyone else to define what the album is going to be. I’m comfortable, its not going to be rushed, I’m taking my time. But overall the music just sounds really, really great. There’s no substitute for that.” (Radio)

Minaj also acknowledged how much Young Money boss Lil Wayne motivated her earlier this summer.

“He hasn’t played any role on my album other than saying, you better rap, you better body these beats. We’re actually in the same studio right now, starting from today for a few weeks. My connection with Wayne is so deep that I don’t gotta be on his album and he don’t gotta be on my album for him to always play a role as a mentor in my life.” (BBC Radio 1Xtra)
