Maybach Music Group’s Wale is letting fans know they should r-e-l-a-x and trust the process. The Washington, DC native has updated everyone wondering if a long-awaited Self Made Vol. 4 album would finally drop.
Ralph Folarin went to Twitter this week and said the follow-up to 2013’s Self Made Vol. 3 compilation album would be nothing less than growth.

In 2016, Wale talked about what fans could expect from the project’s overall sound.
“I’m producing [Self Made Vol. 4],” he continued. “Rick Ross gave me the keys to the car, and it’s going to have a different sound for sure. Me and Ross want to focus on the guys who haven’t really gotten their time yet, like Fat Trel and Rockie Fresh. We want to make sure other people are shining more, but at the same time, show some unity. Because we’re still tight, we’re still that mob. Maybach is still very strong, and we’re gonna show that on this project.” (Complex)
In April 2015, MMG head Rick Ross discussed letting Wale take control of the Self Made Vol. 4 album’s production.
“We really ain’t get into ‘Self Made 4’ yet. Wale’s executive producing ‘Self Made 4,’ so you know he’s going to point the gun and I’m going to squeeze the trigger.” (Revolt TV)
This week, Wale has celebrated his big Warner Bros. Record signing deal.

Know your worth . Never let them tell you what you can’t do! I watched them finesse the narrative and “quietly quietly” did my thing .

And the same narrative spinners won’t mention it… because it’s not negative . But the moral of the story is “it’s on now!”
