Atlanta rapper Waka Flocka Flame has explained his connection to Hollywood actress Selena Gomez and admitted he had no idea she is considered pop sensation Justin Bieber's wifey.
According to Flocka, the fans really wanted to see something stir up between him and the 20-year-old hottie.
“That’s just fans and I’m a friendly person, fans [felt] like I should mess with Selena,” Waka said, explaining how it started. “I guess that’s what my fans want me to do, but I [tweeted] out that you should respect her, [because] she got a career. “That was real random,” he added, explaining that he hadn’t actually known her name before the tweets began. “Honestly, I knew what it was but I never knew her name or nothing, till I put two and two together, then I Googled her and was like damn ‘she look good.'” (MTV)
Waka also admitted he did not know the connection between her and the Biebs.
So, Waka isn’t tryna step in on Justin Bieber’s on-again, off-again ex-girlfriend then? “I ain’t know that was Justin Bieber’s girl,” he responded. “No disrespect to Justin Bieber — he’s like, the next Michael Jackson — but I don’t even know a Justin Bieber song ’cause we’re both in two different worlds. I don’t go into people relations. I don’t even know the top blog sites. I don’t even practice that. That’s a form of snitching to me. Where I’m from, it ain’t cool so I try to just walk a straight line.” (MTV)
A few days ago, Flocka said Selena is not bad enough for him to want her.
And those wacky rumors that it was Spring Breakers star Selena Gomez who drove them apart? They’re just that — rumors. “She ain’t bad enough,” Waka said. “She fine as hell, but she ain’t bad enough. Ain’t no woman on earth that bad that can go between family members or friends. Especially not a little young girl.” (The Boom Box)
Earlier this month, some reports claimed Waka and ex-associate Gucci Mane‘s current rift may have something to do with her.
Not necessarily best known for staunch commitment to his declarations, Gucci Mane has made the executive decision to relieve Waka Flocka Flame of his Brick Squad 1017 post. The reasons for this are still vague, but we have heard that Waka too had a thing for Spring Breakers actress Selena Gomez, whose intimacy with Wop on set had been rumored. (Complex)
