According to Waka, he realized there is no need or real interest in continuing to hold a grudge toward Flocka.

“It’s 2013, like, I’m like, f*ck it, you know what I mean,” Flocka said in an interview. “All fake beef and real beef, I’ma spread ’em apart. Like that fake beef, I got real sh*t going on right now. Real sh*t I got to focus on right now. No sh*t you put in metaphors, no sh*t you put in bars. It’s real right now. None of that. So I’m gonna cut every throat right now, I don’t want a n*gga to block no door but the one he’s standing in. … I’m looking at this n*gga like, ‘This n*gga ain’t do nothing remotely dangerous to me, when it could have been something, it was nothing.’ It was dead then. So that’s why I never pressed it. Later on in the year, lame n*ggas just don’t got nothing to talk about so they’re talking about the same sh*t. N*ggas getting money though. So I’m like, ‘If I punch you in the face, I might lose this endorsement deal.’ I’m like Ochocinco, I can’t go out like that.” (Shade 45)

On Khalifa’s “Started From the Bottom” remix, Wiz raps about making peace with Waka.

“Hope the homie Drake don’t get pissed/But n*ggas never ever put your man on songs like this/And I probably said no to it before/But I made 20 million so we should probably go on tour/And I just seen Waka the other day/He wasn’t trippin’, we just talked about the money we been makin'” (“Started From the Bottom” Remix)

Back in April, Wiz downplayed having any issues with the ATL rapper.

“I don’t have problems with people, because if I do, I address it,” he said when he appeared on Wednesday’s “RapFix Live.” “If I feel someone disrespected me or if I feel like somebody was mentioning me in an indirect way I’ma find out how to talk to that person and then we’ll squash it from there.” Rather than address his feelings in the media, Khalifa said he’d rather wait to speak to the “O Let’s Do It” rapper face to face. “What would I say to him? I really want to say it to him. We’ll save it for that, it don’t gotta be a public thing. It don’t gotta be a peace meeting or nothing like that.” (MTV)

Tensions appeared to boil a couple years ago when Waka name-dropped Khalifa in an interview.

“Yo [Kay] Slay, how you feel about these rap n*ggas with all that hype man,” Waka Flocka asked in an interview. “They ain’t got no swag when they really, they hyped their way to the top. [I’m behaving myself lately.] Me too. I ain’t even gonna lie. I ain’t even gonna lie, right. … I feel like they don’t respect nothing but the real. You gotta. Wiz. Wiz. [laughs]” (Street Heat TV)
