I wanted a video that was mostly involved around dance scenes and had the right touch of Latina spice.
When I saw the studio we were going to shoot at, I thought it was perfect. It had a gritty, warehouse, underground vibe to it with a lot of cool red lights which fit the feel, I just wanted to throw a huge party and act up in it which is exactly what I did.
On set was cool, it was a long day of turning up and shooting. The manager of the studio actually complained about how many people were there and the open bottles of alcohol [laughs] but I told him I’m shooting a video called “Actin Up,” what did you expect!
All my dancers did their thing and thanks to the dope choreography from the one and only Shane Sparks, we created something pretty dope.
