One of the women going after Usher’s pockets – to the tune of $20 million – has the perfect excuse for lying about having unprotected sex with the R&B star. A new report claims Ush’s herpes accuser Laura Helm had a reason behind fibbing on what went down in the bedroom.
According to the latest gossip buzz, Helm’s attorney said she lied about the unprotected sex to avoid her publicist trying to sell a hot story.
Her attorney Lisa West says Helm only lied because she thought her publicist, Dennis Byron — the guy on the phone — was trying to shop a story to the media about Usher having an affair. West says Helm “didn’t want to be exploited and, in her attempt to deter Byron from doing so, she told him (inaccurately) that she never had protected sex with Usher and that she did not have herpes.” West adds she’s gone to law enforcement because Helm thinks Byron was extorting her. In August, Usher herpes accuser Quantasia Sharpton publicly revealed receiving multiple death threats since accusing the singer of a sexual encounter.
Over the summer, producer Jermaine “JD” Dupri revealed in-studio footage of himself and Ush.
Recently, West Coast rapper Game came to Usher’s defense amid the Internet blowing him up with trolling.
“What people need to realize is, people need to stop worrying about other people’s lives. Most of the people out here talking sh*t and all this sh*t, they probably got herpes too. It is what is is. I ain’t saying Usher’s got this or he got that. Get off his nuts. Literally.” (TMZ)
