It’s safe to say hip-hop runs the world – especially the World Cup. United States Women’s World Cup champion Megan Rapinoe put the most respect on late rap great Nipsey Hussle following yesterday’s epic victory.

After helping take down Netherlands 2-0 in the World Cup, Rapinoe lit up her Instagram page with a quote from Hussle’s “Hustle and Motivate” anthem.

Much like Nipsey, Megan is not a supporter of President Donald Trump and even announced she wouldn’t visit the White House if the team won the World Cup.

Rapinoe has been frank about her disapproval of the current president and her unwillingness to accept a White House visit should the team win. After a clip surfaced of the soccer player saying that she will not visit the (bleeping) White House if the U.S. won and that she didn’t expect to be invited anyway, Trump tweeted in response the next morning: “I am a big fan of the American Team, and Women’s Soccer, but Megan should WIN first before she TALKS! Finish the job! We haven’t yet invited Megan or the team, but I am now inviting the TEAM, win or lose.” (LA Times)
