The Miami police department have updated fans on what went down at an alleged shooting around rap star Lil Wayne's Florida home Wednesday (March 11).

According to law enforcement, Wayne was the victim of swatting.

“Unfortunately this appears to be a ‘swatting’ call,” the Miami Beach Police tweeted. “No victims/no injuries/no subject [present].” “Swatting” refers to a prank in which someone convinces authorities to dispatch an emergency response for a fake incident. Many celebrities have been victims of swatting, including Justin Timberlake, Tom Cruise and Miley Cyrus. (ABC News)

Wayne’s label also provided an update on Wayne’s condition amid the shooting reports.

Reports of the shooting happening at Weezy’s home bubbled online this afternoon.

Police are investigating a shooting reported at rapper Lil Wayne’s house in Miami Beach, Wednesday afternoon. Fox affiliate WSVN reported that it was unclear if anyone was injured. Police are on the scene and surrounding the home. (Fox CT)

Reports also claimed at least four people were injured.

Miami Beach Police set up a perimeter around the house, located at 94 Lagorce Circle, after receiving a 911 call from someone not on the scene indicating shots were fired. According to police, the caller also indicated four people may be injured. SWAT team officials are on the scene and police said no entry to the home has been made yet. It is still unclear if anyone was in fact injured or if the rapper was home at the time of the incident. (WSVN)
