Speaking via a statement, Wall sent his deepest regrets to the fans in attendance.

“I want to sincerely apologize to my San Antonio Fans as well as Paul Wall Fans worldwide for allowing myself to become distracted during my recent performance at the Low Low Car Show in San Antonio, Texas,” he said. “My goal as a live performer is to always provide my fans with a great show experience and I apologize for temporarily taking my eyes off that goal. We all learn from experiences both good and bad. I will learn and grow from this incident and be a better person, artist and performer as a result.” (XXL Mag)

Details on the incident hit the Internet Tuesday (September 28) morning.

It all went down Sunday night at the Low Low Car Show in San Antonio, Texas — Paul Wall was performing on stage with rapperSlim Thug … when some dumb*ss in the front row threw a middle finger in Paul’s face. Paul can be seen exchanging a few words with the guy — right before the rapper winds up and beats him several times with his mic. We’re told the finger-waving fan got tossed out — and so far, no police report has been filed. Paul’s rep declined to comment. (TMZ)

In the footage, Wall is seen being pulled backstage following the attack.

A video, obtained by TMZ.com and recorded at the event, shows a man in the front row waving his middle finger at the star, who leans down to exchange words with the concert-goer before hitting him with a microphone. The footage appears to show Wall – real name Paul Slayton – being dragged to the back of the stage by security guards. The fan was subsequently removed from the venue and no police report has been filed, according to the website. (Toronto Sun)

Wall’s incident became the latest as artists like Kid Cudi and 50 Cent have also recently been involved with on-stage fan attacks.

Paul Wall is just one of the latest rappers to attack a fan while performing at a show. Over the summer Kid Cudi attacked a fan at a concert in Ohio and members of G-Unit attacked a fan in July after he rushed the concert stage at a show in Brazil. (Hip Hop DX)
