Rather than lash out at Trump, Miller appeared to kill him with kindness.

“@realDonaldTrump :-),” Miller tweeted a few hours after Trump went at him. (Mac Miller’s Twitter)

Trump threw a direct jab toward Miller’s upcoming solo project and suggested it would tank.

“Little Mac Miller’s next album may bomb. He can’t use my name again for sales.,” Trump tweeted May 30th. (Donald Trump’s Twitter)

A few days ago, Mac said Trump’s issues with him actually stemmed from an interview he did earlier this year.

“You know, what happened was, I have moments of immaturity,” Miller said in an interview. “And uh, I had this interview with Complex and they asked me what I thought about him and so I said some things and then he got mad but it’s cool. I’m tight for that. Okay, look at the list of people Donald Trump has beef with. Bill Mahr, Obama, Mac Miller. But nah, I extended my hand in peace and righteousness and I don’t know if he accepted it but he didn’t sue me so I think we’re cool.” (Skee TV)

Back in January, Miller made various dicey comments about his real stance toward Trump.

“No,” Miller said when asked if he had ever met Trump. “No, I think he’s a d**k. [Have I ever told him that?] No. He started running for president, I was like, ‘F*ck. This is horrible. I have a f*cking song with this dude’s name and now he’s being such a f*cking douche bag,’ because everyone has their views or whatever but the main thing that pisses me off was to this day he still tweets the video. The thing that bothers me the most about it is he always says things like, ’75 million views on ‘Donald Trump,’ Mac Miller you’re welcome.’ And it’s like, dude, I could have said ‘Take over the world when I’m on my f*cking Bill Gates,’ you know what I’m saying?” (Complex)

Over the winter, Miller extended his hand to the Trumpster after a couple of serious threats were shot his way.

“i’m not trying to put any negative energy into the world.@realDonaldTrump let’s be friends.,” Mac tweeted February 1st. (Mac Miller’s Twitter)

Donald threatened to take legal action toward Mac for using his name as a song title in late January.

“Little @MacMiller, you illegally used my name for your song “Donald Trump” which now has over 75 million hits.,” he tweeted January 31st.

“Little @MacMiller, I want the money not the plaque you gave me!”

“Little @MacMiller, I’m now going to teach you a big boy lesson about lawsuits and finance. You ungrateful dog!” (Donald Trump’s Twitter)

Back in summer 2011, Trump reacted to Miller’s self-titled ode and proclaimed him a hip-hop great.

“A lot of people are calling me about the Mac Miller rap song,” Trump said in a video. “Now, it’s named ‘Donald Trump.’ Maybe you should pay me a lot of money, but it just did over 20 million people, tuning into Mac Miller. So in one way, I’m proud of him. I haven’t actually seen the , it’s a little hard to understand on the song itself. Probably, it’s not the cleanest language you’ve ever heard, but this kid is the new Eminem. Everybody says he’s fantastic. Let’s see what it is. But the ‘Donald Trump’ song just hit over 20 million, that’s not so bad. I’m very proud of him.” (From The Desk of Trump)
