New Jersey rapper Fetty Wap‘s management has reportedly stepped forward to clear the air on his nasty motorcycle accident this weekend.

Speaking via a statement, Wap’s team informed fans the rapper had received medical attention and asked for privacy in the matter.

UPDATE: Fetty Wap’s management has released a statement on the accident. “Fetty Wap was involved in a motorcycle incident earlier today,” a representative wrote to Rolling Stone. “He was treated at a local hospital and is in stable condition. His family wants to thank everyone for their outpouring of love and support. They ask that you respect their privacy during this time. We will provide an update on his condition as it becomes available.” (Rolling Stone)

Fetty’s deejay, DJ Louie Styles, also provided fans an update and picture this weekend.

According to reports, Wap treated fans to an early stream of his self-titled debut album this week.

Over 20 songs it stays true. That abundance is thoughtful, collecting as it does the heat that’s been floating around, the singles with industry muscle behind them, seven songs produced by Peoples, seven featuring Fetty’s right hand, Monty, almost all of which were recorded and redone in Clifton, New Jersey, nowhere expensive. He’s been making this music for himself and it turns out it’s good to us, too. (NPR)
