Atlanta-area rapper Waka Flocka Flame’s arrest was linked to him leaving the state without permission. The performer, whose real name is Juaqin James Malphurs, was arrested March 16 for violating the terms of a probation sentence resulting from a felony conviction. Georgia Department of Corrections spokeswoman Sharmelle Brooks told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution Tuesday that the arrest was because Malphurs left the state without reporting to his probation officer. I only been there for like two and a half days. That’s a long time to them, I’d hate to see where my life’d be. Yeah [I was Tweeting from jail.] Oh yeah, I was on that. When the guard was coming, he was telling me I was getting out.” (92 Q)
