Holm took a moment to thank friends and fans for supporting her Monday (November 16) night.

Best feeling in the world. Still trying to process and take it all in. There aren't enough words to express what I am feeling. Thank you @ufc for the opportunity and most of all thank you to my team for believing in me. All the hours in the gym and all the years of dedication to help me get to this moment. This is a priceless moment and I could not have done this on my own. @mmacoachwink its been 17 years and one hell of a ride. Let's see where it goes from here! Greg Jackson and @izzystylewrestling … My transition to mma would not be possible without you. All of the coaching and teammates @jacksonwink_mma …… You are my family and love you all so much! I only hope to make you proud and be a good champion. And to all of my fans….. I would not be able to live the dream without you. Much love to you all!! Big hugs to everyone! #ANDNEW ?

Retired boxing champion Laila Ali shared her thoughts on the publicized UFC shocker Sunday (November 15).

“She didn’t shock me,” Ali said referring to Holly Holm defeating Rousey. “I’m familiar with Holly Holm. She’s a talented boxer, she’s a world champion – I’m excited for her and hopefully she’ll get the exposure she needs to take her career to the next level – it’s obvious who the better fighter was. … We have to under that in order to be the best in the world, you definitely don’t ever get beat up like that in your prime, period.” (TMZ Sports)

Rousey fell from grace after a second round knockout from Holm Saturday (November 14) night.

The 28-year-old MMA fighter was defeated barely under one minute into the second round during her UFC 193 fight with her opponent on Saturday. Holm, 34, delivered a swift kick to Rousey’s head and down she went. Her loss is being touted the biggest UFC upset in history. (E! Online)
