Tyler has issued a statement to confirm the cancelled tour run.

“WE WOULD MUCH RATHER COME TO AUSTRALIA WHEN IT ISN’T SURROUNDED IN CONTROVERSY. I LOVE MY FANS THERE AND HOPEFULLY I’LL BE BACK SOON. DON’T DO DRUGS.” – TYLER, THE CREATOR. (Statement)

The tour promoter has vowed to refund concertgoers which already purchased tickets.

Frontier Touring regret to announce the cancellation of the Australian leg of Tyler, The Creator’s Cherry Bomb World Tour which was scheduled to begin next month. Frontier Touring sincerely apologises to all those affected by this cancellation. Existing ticketholders are entitled to a refund and should note the details for their relevant show below. According to reports, Tyler revealed being banned from Australia last month.

The status of those four shows has been anything but clear since Tyler tweeted last month that he’d been “banned from Australia,” and blamed Collective Shout’s director of operations, Coralie Alison, for his predicament. (Billboard)
