G.O.O.D. Music’s Tyga knows his singy-songy new Kyoto album is kinda fire. The hip-hop artist has hit up social media to show off the project’s early popularity.

This weekend, Ty hit up Instagram to show the project is up there with R&B stars SZA’s Ctrl and Khalid’s American Teen albums.

A few days ago, the Los Angeles native raised eyebrows over his low-key Kylie Jenner-targeted “U Cry” video.

Tyga’s new album “Kyoto” dropped Friday at midnight and the rapper teased it’s release with a music video featuring a woman who looks an awful lot like his ex, and with a song that sounds an awful lot like it’s about his ex. “U Cry” opens with Tyga playing the piano, pouring his heart out to a Kylie Jenner look-a-like, “Yeah we always go back, back, forth and forth … Tell me about the stories, all lies now yeah / Tell me I don’t have to worry about those guys now / I get insecure / But I never been insecure before right now.” (The Blast)

Last summer, Kylie kept it 100 on her publicized Tyga split after years of dating.

“There was absolutely not one thing wrong with me and T. Him and I will always, always have a bond. There was no crazy fight. We just decided, well, I decided that I’m really young. I don’t want to look back and five years from now and feel like he took something from me when he’s really not that type of person.” (“Life Of Kylie”)

Weeks prior, Tyga finally caved in and talked about their publicized split.

“It ain’t a losing thing. When you make a decision not to be in a relationship with somebody, y’all make that decision, y’all split ways. [Do I still love her?] I mean, I have love for her but I’m not in love no more. Yeah, that’s the honeymoon stage, everybody’s like that for the first year, it’s magic and then after that, start realizing [it goes] to sh*t. I think the main thing is a lot of people, the outside influences and like you said, she’s younger than me. She’s dealing with a perception. I’m older so I don’t have to deal with perception. For her, growing up like she grew up, image and perception was everything. You got a bunch of people pulling from you and you still gotta develop as a woman, young woman.” (“The Breakfast Club”)
