Social media giant Twitter had no problem flexing its muscle this week. The digital powerhouse has yanked a Kanye West tweet with links to his new Ye album.
Early Saturday, Twitter pulled West’s post and referenced a copyright issue.
The action sparked a handful of Twitter reactions.

Despite some growing speculation, there is no concrete answer to why Twitter took down Yeezy’s tweet.
The reason behind why Twitter considered links to the artist’s own album as a copyright violation is unknown at the moment. Twitter has received criticism in the past for taking down tweets on casual DMCA notices to the company by persons who may not have the proper claim over the material. New York rap veteran Nas and Pusha-T have both co-signed Kanye’s newest release.
