New York rapper Troy Ave has come forward to blast rap rival Joey Bada$$ following a new freestyle diss aimed at him this week.

Troy lashed out at Joey on his Instagram page last night (March 29).

Joey sparked some attention after dissing Troy in a new freestyle.

Last week, Joey talked about not engaging in the Troy feud.

“I know you wanted to [talk about it]. I seen it bubbling behind, everybody wanna talk about it but you know what? Our time could be better spent in a better place. My last words would say, I gave you one line, you made a whole song/If I give you more rhymes, you’ll be working a year long.” (Shade 45)

Recently, New York rap veteran Fabolous weighed-in on the Joey and Troy dispute.

“I met Troy Ave in the streets – we built our relationship from there. The first time I met him, I didn’t even know he rapped – we ended up clicking,” Fab said regarding his relationship with Troy Ave. “I don’t know all that happened. I heard Troy respond and I heard one of the guys came at Troy, came at him about his albums sales. So I don’t really know everything that happened in it. … It’s not just New York though, it’s a competitive sport so when people throw shots at you, you know, you gotta expect a retaliation too or a reply.” (WiLD 94.1)

Earlier this month, Joey penned a lengthy Instagram post to defend his decision not to drop a diss record on Ave.
