Texas rapper Travis Scott has found more than gold with his latest solo album. The hip-hop star’s new Astroworld album is set to debut atop the music charts in its opening week.
The project’s expected to topple its competition with up to 400,000 potential sales in the first 7 days.
Travis Scott will unseat Drake from atop the HITS Top 50 next week. Tracks from his new album, ASTROWORLD, were streamed nearly 100 million times on Friday; they occupy 17 of the Top 20 at Apple Music, 17 of the Top 25 at Spotify U.S. and 13 of the Top 25 at Spotify Global. It’s also selling, with the #1 album at and #2 track (“Sicko Mode”) at iTunes. This weekend, Scott addressed rumors and drama surrounding trans model Amanda Lepore getting removed from the album’s final cover artwork.
