Travis Scott’s Raleigh Show Postponed

The PNC Arena in Raleigh was set to host Travis Scott’s second show on October 14. However, fans were greeted with a sign on the arena doors, notifying them of the postponement. It read:

“Tonight’s Travis Scott concert at PNC Arena has been postponed. Fans are encouraged to hold on to their tickets as they will be honored for the TBD new date. We apologize for any inconvenience. Thank you!”

The reason behind the sudden change was not mentioned on the sign or communicated to the public.

The first show in Raleigh on October 13 had been sold out, making the postponement of the second show even more unexpected. Before his tour, Scott had faced issues with plummeting ticket prices, with some selling as low as $8. Consequently, resellers found it challenging to offload their inventory.

Fans Disappointed

Fans took to social media, expressing their frustrations over the unexpected postponement.

One user criticized Scott for canceling the second show and then showing up at UNC on the same night, calling it “trifling.” Another fan shared their disappointment in traveling halfway to Raleigh only to have the show canceled, resulting in wasted time and money.

Despite the backlash and speculation, neither  Scott nor his team provided a public explanation for the postponement. Fans were left wondering what led to the sudden change in plans and eagerly anticipated updates on the rescheduled date.

Travis Scott’s Circus Maximus Tour Faces Plummeting Resale Prices As Demand Significantly Drops

Travis Scott is currently facing a major setback as the resale prices for his highly anticipated Circus Maximus Tour have plummeted. This comes as a disappointment for Scott, who is returning to touring after the 2021 Astroworld tragedy, where tenths of deaths occurred due to crowd surging.

Major Plummet In Ticket Sales

The Circus Maximus Tour, set to kick off on Wednesday, Oct. 11, is experiencing low demand, resulting in resellers needing help to sell tickets on secondary markets.

As anticipation built for Travis Scott’s Circus Maximus Tour, ticket sales turned out to be unexpectedly low, leading to a significant drop in resale prices. On Vivid Seats, tickets for Scott’s Charlotte show can be found for as little as $8, a fraction of the original cost on Ticketmaster, which is over $60.

Users on Twitter (X), expressed their thoughts on the situation, with some criticizing the Houston native for potentially putting profit above fan experience.

One user commented, “He lost thousands of dollars because he wanted to be a greedy as*hole,” highlighting the frustration among fans. Another user commented, “Fake his album sales now he struggled to sell concert tickets. Travis pathetic af.”

The Extra Tour Dates

Initially, tickets sold out on August 31, prompting the UTOPIA artist to add more dates to his tour. The initial sale of tickets began at $65, with additional fees. However, even with the addition of more shows, the demand has remained low.

For instance, Scott’s upcoming shows at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center on December 18 and 19 have tickets starting as low as $59, while his Miami show at the Kaseya Center offers tickets starting at $34. This sharp decline in ticket prices not only affects resellers financially but could also potentially lead to show cancellations due to poor ticket sales.

Fortunately, there have been no other canceled tour dates apart from a Houston show that left fans disappointed.

Travis Scott’s ‘Circus Maximus’ Tour Omits Houston; Fans Disappointed

Travis Scott has recently announced his upcoming tour, The Circus Maximus Tour, sparking a flurry of reactions from eager fans anticipating his return. While excitement runs high, some fans are raising eyebrows at the omission of tour dates in Scott’s hometown of Houston, Texas.

No Houston Dates?!

Travis Scott has officially unveiled his highly anticipated tour, The Circus Maximus Tour, but fans are questioning why there is no Houston date on the tour schedule.

Scott took to social media to announce the tour, posting, “TOUUUURRRRRRRR, Readdddddyyy and fe!ninggggg.” While many fans expressed their excitement for Scott’s comeback, others were quick to notice the absence of his hometown in the lineup.

One fan took to Twitter to express their thoughts, saying, “Travis Scott skipping Houston on his tour is very interesting because it can only be 2 very different reasons. 1. Not wanting to deal with bad juju and PR after the Astroworld tragedy, 2. Saving Houston for a whole new festival.”

Another fan echoed this sentiment, stating, “No Houston for a Travis Scott concert is crazy work.”

The Texas Shows

So far, the only cities in Texas included on the tour are Dallas and Austin, leaving Houston fans disappointed. This omission has raised eyebrows, especially considering Scott’s history with concerts in his hometown, most notably following the tragic events of his 2021 ASTROWORLD Festival where 10 people lost their lives.

The Circus Maximus Tour is scheduled to kick off on October 11 in Charlotte, NC, and will conclude on December 29 in Toronto, Ontario. Tickets for the tour will go on sale Thursday, August 31, at 10 AM CT on Scott’s website.

Travis Scott Fans Outraged Over Last-Minute Cancellation of Utopia Show at Pyramids of Giza

Travis Scott‘s much-anticipated Utopia show at the iconic Pyramids of Giza in Egypt has been officially canceled.   Live Nation made the official announcement just two days prior to the July 28th show and fans are outraged.

Live Nation Announces Utopia Cancellation

Live Nation announced the Utopia show cancellation via social media around midday EST on July 26th, two days prior to the highly anticipated extravaganza in Egypt.   The “SICKO MODE” rapper was scheduled to deliver an out-of-this-world performance, but “unforeseen production issues” led to the unfortunate decision, according to Live Nation.

In a release posted on social media, Live Nation expressed  “We regret to inform you that the UTOPIA show, originally scheduled for July 28th at the Pyramids of Giza in Egypt, is canceled. Unfortunately, despite our highest efforts, complex production issues meant that the show could not be constructed in the desert. We understand that this news is disappointing and not the outcome any of us desired. Refunds will be issued to all ticket holders at their point of purchase. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this cancellation may have caused and appreciate your understanding. We remain committed to bringing exceptional live performances to fans and hope to have the opportunity to do so in the future.”

Fans Erupt Over Last-Minute Cancellation

The news came as a disappointment to fans who were eagerly looking forward to witnessing Travis Scott’s electrifying performance against the backdrop of the ancient wonders of Egypt.  Ticket holders, traveling from all parts of the world and spending exorbitant prices to attend, lamented their losses on social media.

“Telling people 2 days before is abysmal. There will be people who have already boarded planes, forked out hundreds for hotels and spent tons of money on the getting there part, none of which can be cancelled. I don’t think artists actually think about other people’s situations,” said @ethanjcastle on X.

@SecrxtIy posted a shot of his $8,000, non-refundable airline ticket, set to depart less than 24 hours later, with the caption. “I’m fucked.”

Egyptian Authorities Deny Travis Scott License Due to “Peculiar Rituals”

Signs that the event was facing setbacks came on July 18th when reports emerged that Egyptian authorities did not approve the show due to ‘rituals’ that don’t comply with their culture.   Egyptian Musicians Syndicate made an official statement about the Utopia show stating that Scott’s license would not be granted as his show did not conform to “set conditions and regulations to safeguard the customs and traditions inherited by the Egyptian people.”

Furthermore, the statement read, “After examining social media opinions and feedback, as well as the news circulating on search engines and social media platforms, which included authenticated images and information about peculiar rituals performed by the star during his performance, contradicting our authentic societal values and traditions, the Syndicate’s president and board of directors have decided to cancel the license issued for hosting this type of concert, which goes against the cultural identity of the Egyptian people.”

Despite the setback, Travis Scott remains undeterred in his pursuit of delivering new music to his fans. “UTOPIA,” the rapper’s highly-anticipated album, is still set to be released on the same date, July 28th.

Travis Scott’s Concert At Egypt’s Pyramids Of Giza Canceled Amid Controversial Lawsuit

Travis Scott’s highly-anticipated concert at the Egyptian Pyramids of Giza has been canceled, and the Houston rapper now faces a lawsuit filed by Egyptians, according to Middle Eastern lawyer Amr Abdelsalam. The cancellation has sparked controversy, with allegations of Scott’s connection to global Freemasonry and accusations of performing “satanic rites” during his shows. Amidst the allegations, Travis Scott has remained silent, leaving fans and critics wondering about the future of his unreleased album, UTOPIA.

Travis Scott’s Egyptian Performance Canceled

Travis Scott’s planned concert at the iconic Egyptian Pyramids of Giza has been canceled, and a lawsuit against the UTOPIA rapper has been filed by Egyptians, as revealed by Middle Eastern lawyer Amr Abdelsalam. When asked about the cancellation, Abdelsalam cited Scott’s alleged support of global Freemasonry and an Afrocentric organization that opposes Egyptian identity and heritage.

The lawyer also accused the rapper of performing “satanic rites” during his shows, further adding to the controversy surrounding the cancellation.

Adding to the unfolding drama, Abdelsalam mentioned an incident during Travis Scott’s November 2021 ASTROWORLD concert in Houston. The concert killed dozens of fans, including a 9-year-old boy, and hundreds were injured. Eyewitnesses reported experiencing “negative energy” and witnessing “bizarre” incidents, leading to a ban on Scott’s shows in the U.S.

Young Thug Or Travis Scott?

The Middle Eastern Media Research Institute’s official Twitter account announced the cancellation in a video format. Still, their visuals mistakenly identified currently incarcerated YSL founder and Atlanta rapper Young Thug as Travis Scott. The mix-up highlights a need for more research and incorrect reporting on the part of the news platform.

This incident also adds to the concerning trend of news outlets confusing African American male artists with each other, raising accusations of racism from social media users. One user on Twitter said, “If you’re going to complain, at least get the right black person,” followed by a comment from a different user saying, “showing videos of young thug while making allegations about travis scott is crazy. peak racism if you will.”

Despite the controversy and allegations surrounding the concert cancellation and lawsuit, Travis Scott has not addressed the situation or made any public comments. There are no further details on his next steps toward promoting his upcoming and highly-anticipated album, UTOPIA.

Travis Scott Reveals The Meaning Behind His Upcoming Album ‘UTOPIA’

Travis Scott is ready to take his fans to a new world with his highly-anticipated fourth studio album, UTOPIA. The Houston rapper has been teasing the project for months and recently opened up about its concept and inspiration in a recent interview.

UTOPIA: A State of Mind

In the PIN-UP Magazine interview, in which he also graces the cover, Scott was tasked with giving his personal definition for words using every letter of the alphabet. For the letter “U,” he chose his album title and gave a detailed explanation:

“UTOPIA is something that people feel is so far-fetched and out of reach, some perfect state of mind. But you create it yourself. There are people who achieve UTOPIA every day. They may not be the richest people with the dopest cribs, but it’s a UTOPIA wherever they are, and that’s the most you can have. With every album I live in these worlds in my mind — I’m trying to show people experiences where utopian things can exist, and you can enjoy yourself and have a good time. They can create energy that spews out magical things — new cures, new buildings, new avenues for people to move forward. People need to see that UTOPIA is real.”

UTOPIA: A Work in Progress

Scott also revealed that he made most of his new album on an MPC, a music production device that he said produces a distinctive sound that makes it feel alive. He said his favorite model is the 2000XL.

Though UTOPIA doesn’t have a release date yet, Scott’s longtime collaborator Mike Dean took to his social media to let fans know that he and Travis were still busily working on the project.

“UTOPIA will be done when Trav and I say it’s done. Do not rush. Let us cook,” he wrote.

Scott has been gearing up for his musical comeback since the tragic events at his AstroWorld festival in November 2021, which resulted in 10 deaths and hundreds of injuries. He has faced lawsuits, criticism, and backlash from fans, artists, and media outlets over his role and responsibility in the incident.

Travis Scott’s ‘Road To Utopia’ Announcement Leads Fans To Speculate Album Delay

Travis Scott announced a “Road To Utopia” residency, which left fans bummed that there could be a delay in the rapper dropping an album anytime soon.

Travis Scott has been transitioning his way back to the stage.

He has slowly made more appearances after the Astroworld tragedy last year.

Today, it was announced that “Cactus Jack” will be collaborating on a new residency with Zouk Nightclub in Las Vegas.

According to reports, the residency is titled “Road to Utopia” and the first seven shows will take place on September 17th.

A Twitter user posted the news to their socials with a follow-up tweet that stated,

“The next date after that is October 15th. Seems like Utopia is not dropping anytime soon,” wrote the account.

This led to numerous fans speculating if Travis’s anticipated Utopia album would be released anytime soon.

One Twitter user attempted to defuse the situation by stating a reason for the large gap in the shows.

“Everybody overreacting, they’re just airing on the cautious side by not guaranteeing anything outright”

He then related it to the situation with Kendrick Lamar’s concert in Italy, where he teased the idea of showcasing his new album.

“Remember that kendrick italy show announcement where it said he’d “preview” new album material? same thing shits obviously getting debuted in some capacity at the o2”
