Texas rapper Travis Scott is facing his publicized Arkansas arrest head-on. The hip-hop star has reportedly pleaded not guilty to multiple charges.
On Friday, Scott’s legal muscle addressed his headline-generating situation.
A rapper who was charged with inciting a riot after inviting fans onstage during an Arkansas concert has pleaded not guilty. Scott’s attorney, Drew Ledbetter, tells the Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette Scott “only intended to put on a good show.” Ledbetter says Scott waived his arraignment and pleaded not guilty to the charges, including disorderly conduct and endangering the welfare of a minor. Last weekend reports claimed Scott landed charges of inciting a riot, disorderly conduct and endangering the welfare of a minor at his Arkansas show.
Police say Webster encouraged people to bypass security and rush the stage, resulting in injuries to a security guard, a police officer and several others. The conditions of the injured was not released. The post says Webster was taken to the Benton County Sheriff’s Office, but county jail records did not list him as an inmate Sunday and the company listed as his agent did not immediately return a phone call and an email for comment. A couple years ago, Scott found himself in the same predicament at a Chicago concert.
This isn’t the first time Scott has been accused of encouraging a riot. In August of 2015, he was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct after performing one song at Lollapalooza festival in Chicago. Police said Webster urged fans to jump security barricades and storm the stage. (CBS News)
Recent reports revealed Travis’ clocked in ample time with overnight girlfriend Kylie Jenner.
Sources close to the couple tell us they’ve been inseparable since Coachella and have decided to do the committed relationship thing. We’re told she’s been spending a lot of time with him in his hometown of Houston — including a party after the Rockets’ game Thursday night. In fact, it’s serious enough they’re not just partying together, but Kylie’s actually met his family. (TMZ)
