Coincidentally, Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is upset at Bryant’s power move.
The move to Roc Nation could throw in a wrench in Bryant’s upcoming contract negotiations. According to multiple reports, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones didn’t want Bryant to sign with Roc Nation and Jones will be ‘reluctant’ to do a deal with them. Bryant is being paid $1.78 million this season as he plays out the final year of his rookie deal that he signed after the Cowboys selected him with the 24th overall pick in the 2010 NFL Draft. Half of Roc Nation’ clients play for New York teams. The firm also represents Yankees pitcher CC Sabathia and Jets quarterback Geno Smith. Detroit Lions defensive end Ndamukong Suh was recently added to the client list, joining Oklahoma City Thunder forward Kevin Durant, Seattle Mariners second baseman Robinson Cano and WNBA player Skylar Diggins.
