Tory Lanez's bond has now been increased from $190,000 to $250,000.
Lanez appeared in an L.A. courtroom on August 23 to address him breaking Megs protection order against him. A judge ruled that the rapper violated #MeganTheeStallion’s restraining order by performing alongside #DaBaby at Rolling Loud Miami last month while Meg was backstage.
A representative from the Los Angeles District Attorney’s office told publication XXL that the rapper would not face any jail time for breaking the protection order.
The order mandates that Tory must stay at least 100 yards away from Megan. Prosecutors asked the judge to revoke his bond or increase his bail to $500,000 however the judge only raised it half that.
The Toronto rapper who made an in person appearance at court this week has now been banned from any events where Meg The Stallion is present. The judge warned that if Tory doesn’t comply with the new mandate or violates the protection order again that he will be taken into custody.
Lanez was charged with felony assault for allegedly shooting Meg in the foot last year in October. He faces up to 22 years in jail if he is ever convicted.
