In early April 2020, Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri went online to explain why his company had to shut down Tory’s Quarantine Radio. Despite his love for Lanez’s broadcasts, Mosseri explained why NSFW content ultimately forced IG to get involved.
“Quarantine Radio is great. So first shout-out to Tory Lanez on that. Quarantine Radio is not banned. The lives have been great, the lives with the fans have been great but you can’t have nudity on Instagram. That’s part of our community guidelines. That’s the rules and we can’t make exceptions.
