During the downtime caused by the coronavirus pandemic, musicians are taking major time to reflect. Rap crooner Anderson .Paak and rap star Gunna are the most recent ones to take to social media to give fans a glimpse into their pre-fame stardom with throwback memories.
This week, Anderson shared a basketball flick as well as one with a former flame. The West Coast rap artist also joked about possibly making it at a division one college for b-ball.
“’03 Bonnie and Clyde sh*t. Who was your fave rapper/street wear brand growing up? Mine was Hov/Rocawear.”
“This just for balance, carry on. Throwback Thursday.”
“Throwback Thursday could of went D1, but like, I wasn’t it.”
Gunna didn’t hold back either. The hip-hop entertainer showed off his young fashion goals, with one shot showing him dripping in a Gucci cap.
Wait, There’s More
Recently, rap veteran Nas went into his own throwback mode. The New York hip-hop icon threw up a few super vintage music videos including Alyson Williams‘ “Just Call My Name” 1989 classic.
Before You Go
Hip-hop icon Snoop Dogg has been reminiscing as well and thinking of vintage moments. He recently turned up to classic funk band One Way‘s “Cutie Pie.”
