Houston rapper Riff Raff is once again making headlines at the start of 2015 with his rumored Jordan sneakers landing on eBay this week.

According to reports, there are bids for the kicks Jordan Brand recently denied having any association with.

While Riff Raff may not have his own Air Jordan collaboration, he certainly has his own custom. Applying “Aquaberry” styling to the famous Air Jordan 5 silhouette, the shoe claimed/joked to be releasing at Flight Club for $750 is now up for auction on eBay and going for over 10 times that amount. Aesthetics aside, possibly the best part of this pair is the product description which advises potential bidders to “Contact @JodyHighroller on Twitter For Questions.” UPDATE: The auction is currently sitting at $80,000! Despite the viral promotion, a representative shut down Riff’s sneaker claim earlier this month.

This past weekend, Jordan Brand called BS on the whole thing. “At this time there are currently no plans for this shoe or a collaboration with this individual,” a Jordan rep told HipHopWired.com. (MTV)

A few weeks ago, Riff promoted an alleged collaborative sneaker with Air Jordan.

In winter 2013, Young Money’s Drake designed his own OVO Air Jordan 12s.

Did you spend the weekend tracking down that new pair of Jordan 10s? While you were up to that, recent Jordan Brand signee Drake was somewhere relaxing ahead of the Grammys show, knowing that he’d not have to worry about access to exclusive Jordans. Proof comes in the form of his Air Jordan 10 “OVO” and Air Jordan 12 “OVO” pairs-there are two colors of each, and all four feature a deluxe stingray leather treatment. (Sneaker News)
