Details of the shootout landed online Saturday (February 28).

Gunshots rang out during a college event headlined by T.I. and Jeezy — and the crowd scattered in chaos. The rappers were playing at a day party in Charlotte when someone in the crowd fired what sounded like 2 shots. Police tell us two people suffered non-life threatening injuries … and both were hospitalized. Cops say no one’s been arrested. They do not have a suspect yet. (TMZ)

Check out these crazy additional details on the next page…

Tip’s camp has provided an update on his condition.

Although a T.I. song was playing when the shots were fired … we’re told it was just a track — T.I. had already performed and was not on stage. Jeezy and Yo Gotti — who had also performed — were in the V.I.P. section at the time of the shooting. We’ve spoken to T.I.’s manager … and he says T.I. wasn’t hurt. We’re also told Jeezy and Yo Gotti were uninjured. (TMZ)

Aside from shooting buzz, T.I. has a new restaurant opening in Atlanta

Historic Downtown Atlanta will be home to T.I.’s first restaurant venture. The renovation and refurbishing process of the landmark property is well underway, as plans for the new upscale Southern cuisine restaurant unfolds. An official announcement, sharing complete details, is planned for the coming weeks. Several local blogs, including What Now Atlanta, report the location as the shuttered Vibe Restaurant and Lounge at 30 Ivan Allen Jr. Blvd. (Atlanta Journal-Constitution)

  1. 2 years in a row same promoter, none of that good money can towards more/better security? Cmon son

  2. Wonder why these headlines don’t follow Mos Def, Common, Talib Kweli, or The Roots concerts?

    • I went to a Talib concert once and there were white dudes everywhere dancing to his music like it was party music. Shit weirded me out. Good show though, he even DJ’ed after he performed and let people go onstage

      • That’s tight. No doubt white people are not the only people to know how to behave civil (especially considering how we’ve seen them behave after sporting events, pumpkin festivals, and weekend nights around bars). I think those artists attract a different energy and the average consicous rap fan isn’t into beefin’ or bringing guns to events.
