Music mogul Jay Z is still being hammered over his recently launched Tidal streaming service by fans questioning his business interests amid real-life global problems.

Twitter has lit up since yesterday (April 26) with fans publicly asking Jay about his unexpected #TIDALFacts campaign.

Relying on spoofing Jay’s “TIDALFacts” weekend tweets, a new Twitter account has launched this week and pokes fun at the new service.

Reports last week claimed Jay Z may release a long-awaited joint album with R&B wife Beyoncé exclusively through Tidal.

The long-rumored Beyoncé and Jay Z joint album will reportedly be released exclusively on Tidal, according to DJ Skee. The host of Skee TV revealed last September that the couple was working on an album together. In his latest segment on Skee TV, the DJ reports that sources have told him the album is “nearing completion.” (Huffington Post)

  1. lol. they can try. but they can’t stop it. because it will make sense to anyone who has a brain — on either side — the fan or the artist.

  2. Funny how none of these people hate on these White Billionaire CEO’s of Spotify Itunes or these others streaming services they way they attacking HOV and you got blacks feeding into this Hate Jay is getting from these bigots

    • I agree on that people tend to want black people who have ‘made” it to constant speak on issues which is not fair actually and I am no jay z fan.

  3. Give Jay a break! He is a business man/musician, not a politician.

Oh, if you really listen to his music you will see or hear what he has to say about the system.

Listen to “Oceans Ft Frank Oceans” to get you started…

  4. I like Jay-Z and I love music, but I’m not paying twenty dollars a month for music that I can hear for free. If I like a song, album, or artist enough I we’ll legally buy their matrail. Long story short make that $20 a month plan a ten dollar a month plan then I’d think about surfing with Tidal.

  5. Every business person I know went into business with an eye on profit. Jay is no different. To pretend as if Tidal is some sort of “artist first” charity is nonsense. In business it’s profit first. That’s the only way to stay in business. Perhaps the Tidal business models ensures artists collect more royalty dollars than other streaming services, but as a music consumer it benefits me NONE to purchase what I can get for free. If the real selling point is exclusives and better sound quality, those benefits are negligible and not worth the payoff. So, in essence Tidal is a very flawed business model and any attempt to gain significant market share from Pandora, Spotify, or Apple, who’s established and well oiled machines is a fools errand. Best of luck though!

  6. Haha I’m glad they calling out Jay! Bout time people put pressure on these deified celebrities. Same time I agree with people on here saying they should be asking Zuckerburg and all these other moguls and icons the same questions i.e. Gates, Buffet,Trump, Cook, etc.

  7. I think in spiderman it stated, with great power comes great responsibility. Jay unfortunately has never taken that great responsibility concerning the black community and social issues. The dollar comes first. He had the opportunity to side with those racially profiled and discriminated against concerning the Barneys situation. And for the most part..he sided with Barneys. He stayed silent concerning ferguson, Eric Garner, Trayvon, Tamir, etc.. The only time he took any American social stand was when he made his “occupy all streets”, shirts. And they were for sale. I strongly disagree with the perspective that he has no responsibility to the black community. Some of the most influential people in the world are wealthy. They have the ability to influence the public through financial means. Jay has the power to uplift those at an economical disadvantage but he chooses to chase the dollar instead.
